Past FDC Initiatives

In pursuing sustainable development and poverty reduction in Asia and the Pacific, FDC has established a number of broad program areas. Information about FDC's past activities, events and publications is provided for each area.

Promoting research networks and capability in the Pacific - Maintained a regional portal, the Oceania Regional Window, in order to expand the network of Pacific researchers and organizations and share research content from the Oceania region, and supported hosting of the GDN2008 Annual Conference in Brisbane in January 2008.


Rural development - Undertook an assessment of rural development policies in five countries for the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
