Masud Isa, Senior Private Sector Specialist of FDC conducted an interactive session on Microfinance as a Development Tool, organised by Melbourne based Asia Pacific Journalism Centre (http://www.apjc.org.au/ ) on October 07, 2008 in Melbourne, Australia. The event was attended by the senior newspaper editors, reporters and broadcasters from radio and television media from Indonesia and the Pacific region.

Bottom-up Governance Leadership Program for Women in the Pacific

The United Nations Democracy Fund has tasked The Foundation for Development Cooperation to implement the “Bottom-up Governance Leadership Program for Women in the Pacific”. Banking with the Poor Network – Citi Network Strengthening Project

The Banking with the Poor (BWTP) Network is pleased to announce that it has received funding from the Citi Foundation for FDC to implement a second year of the Citi Network Strengthening Project (CNSP). The aim of the CNSP is to promote the growth and development of national microfinance operations by strengthening the operational, technical, and financial capacities of national and regional microfinance networks.

The purpose of this workshop is to learn practical and participatory project management skills, which are used in community development (CD) projects in the Asia Pacific Region. The three main project management methodologies introduced are Project Cycle Management (PCM); Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) , and the Logical Framework Approach (LFA), or Logframes for short. We will also be reviewing projects in the light of AusAID’s latest Annual Review of Development Effectiveness (ARDE), 2007. More…

BWTP Citi Nework Strengthening
