FDC Chairman to Retire
FDC’s Chairman, Dr Brian W Scott AO, retired at the fifty-seventh meeting of the FDC Board of Governors on 28 September 2007. Dr Scott had served as Chairman since FDC’s inception in 1990 and was involved even earlier in helping to bring FDC into existence in the late 1980s, working closely with FDC’s Founder, the late Kenneth William (Bill) Taylor AO. Dr Scott had played an incredibly important role in his 17 years as Chairman, overseeing FDC’s growth and development, the substance of much of its work, and ensuring first-class corporate governance along the way. Dr Scott’s contribution and stewardship has been enormous, unwavering and magnanimous. FDC extends to Dr Scott and his family our very best wishes upon the completion of his tenure as Chairman of FDC. His contribution will be badly missed.
